If you are looking at getting married in Europe and eloping and made that decision that Denmark is the best place for you to get married as an International couple the next questions are likely to be  "How do we get married in Denmark?" and "How quickly can we get married in Denmark?". Just contact us and we can help you with both of those!

But the short answer is  "We will do it all for you, you simply turn up and get married, and we can get you married as quickly as you wish to proceed!".

Our new awesome epic service, the Copenhagen Express covers both questions and enables you to get married in the fastest way in Europe, within days of approval, on a named date at a set time. So you can marry in under 2 weeks in some situations. And certainly in less than 4 weeks!

Generally you need to wait for approval for your wedding date to be scheduled in based on availability, and at the moment for many venues that can be a good 6-8 weeks ahead minimum. NOT with the Copenhagen Express, it does what it says on the tin, it is the express way of marrying in Copenhagen, you cut through the waiting time and delays and steam directly to your wedding date.

There are NO marital Status documents needed, NO Birth certificates needed. Witnesses are provided. You will receive 2 copies of the International marriage certificate there and then from the registrar after your wedding. The marriage ceremony can be in either English, German or Danish.

This is all just for €1095, everything is included, there is nothing further to pay for your wedding, no hidden fees, even if you need a few extra marriage certificates, and it includes also the security of unlimited date changes and moves to cover anything unforeseen.

We are very conscious that COVID has created a whole world of issues, and everyone has been affected one way or another, directly or indirectly, with new IDs, passports, documents having to be ordered and delayed, weddings cancelled and rebooked or just cancelled, pregnancies, needing to marry for relocation, family, to work in with a preplanned wedding party, expiring documents, residency permit meeting requirements. And many couples need and want to get married quickly with the fastest option available for getting married in Denmark, possibly on named dates or in a guaranteed set time frame. So this new service has enabled Denmark to remain the fastest and best country for International couples to get married in Europe.

Your wedding will be in Copenhagen, which is gorgeous, and getting married in Copenhagen City Hall is simply stunning, ornate, rich in history, and a breathtaking venue for your wedding.  So much to do in the City for all budgets and however long you want to stay there. Also included with the Copenhagen Express option you can choose to have an open air ceremony.  Or if you are having a same sex ceremony then you can be a part of the wonderful Pride Celebration where every year Copenhagen Wedding office arrange a wonderful day of same sex weddings.

How to get started?

Contact us on either phone, email, or whats app and we will ask you some simple questions

Marrying in Denmark is the simplest solution for all International Couples as it provides you with an International Marriage Certificate that you can use anywhere in the world.  So if you are living in Germany or living the UAE or anywhere else then you can spend 48 hours in Denmark and have a wonderful Copenhagen City Hall wedding  and then return to your home country with your certificates in hand ready to register your wedding on your return.

In brief the documents needed are;

- Passports/ID cards

- Entrance visas  (if needed)

- Divorce or death certificates (if applicable) some may need to be legalised

- Residence Permits (if living in a country that is not your home country and you need a residency permit!)

However this is very varied and we always recommend that you ask for a free of charge no obligation document list, so you don't gather any documents that you don't need - as there is much confusion out there, and many websites have not been updated but you NO LONGER NEED MARITAL STATUS DOCUMENTS OR BIRTH CERTIFICATES. Sorry for shouting - but that bit is important!

Once you have your ceremony booked, then your Wedding Planner in Denmark will help you with the logistics so you know where you need to be and at what time. Download our free App on Google or Apple play, and you you will have your own couples area to log into with your specific wedding details. This can guide you on local  florists, hair and make-up and photographers so you have everything  that you need.  They can help you  with the detailed explanations of the Ceremony at Copenhagen City Hall and a short guide to the city,

After your wedding ceremony, then the last thing that you will need to think about is is your wedding certificate and if it needs an Apostille stamp on it.  The Apostille stamp is a verification of the authenticity of the document made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Copenhagen.  You can do this yourself and your wedding planner in Denmark will help with this or you can take an Apostille Service, where this is done for you and we courier it back to you.
