The King's Garden - Dates through out the summer

Get married in a summer ceremony in the 400-year-old King's Garden park, founded by King Christian IV and located in the middle of Copenhagen. Here you will exchange your vows underneath the pergola, in the southwestern corner of the park, with a view to the castle Rosenborg’s renaissance towers. The many old trees provide countless shaded spots in the garden - making it ideal for a small celebration with your closest friends and family after the ceremony. The park is enjoyed by more than three million visitors every year, and is one of the capita’s most popular places to ‘hang out’ and enjoy the sun on the neatly beautiful green lawns.

The Royal Library Garden - Dates available in the summer

Like a little secret oasis in Copenhagen, The Royal Library Garden is hidden among the historic buildings on Slotsholmen island in the city centre.

Here you can say ’I do’ at a small and intimate wedding ceremony in the shade of old trees, between flowerbeds and with the sounds from the little fountain in the background. The garden was established in 1920, and here you can also find a statue of the famous Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard, staring sorrowfully into the distance - Some say that is was right on this location that his lost love, Regine Olsen, lived in the Danish Golden Ages.

The Schooner Halmø - High summer, usually July or August.

AMAZING OPPORTUNITY ALERT!! You can feel the wind blowing through your hair, whilst  imagining the waves crashing against the side of the ship, and the compass needle pointing to love, whilst you exchange your vows, at sea on the schooner Halmø - one of Denmark's most well-maintained schooners.

The beautiful and rustic wooden schooner was built in 1900 and measures 32 meters, it is quite frankly incredible. Denmark is synonymous with Vikings, boats and the Nordic lifestyle, so have a true Danish elopement ( not with Danish Vikings, I am sorry we cannot promise them included!) Marry like you are imagining you are  a Danish Viking!

Your ceremony will take place on the deck, and together you will share this day with other select couples, who also choose to get married on board this utterly incredible vessel. The boat will set sail from Admiral Kaj and it will sail along the coast for 3 hours, whilst you enjoy, bubbles and cake.

We cannot begin to tell you how special and unique this opportunity is, it has never been offered by Copenhagen Marriage office before and we are SO over excited about it!

The Royal Pavilions at Nordre Tolbod

This is your opportunity to say “I do” by the harbour, surrounded by historic buildings! There is something etheral and romantic about the ocean, it is never ending, relentless, deep, and full of live - just like love.

Nordre Toldbod is part of Copenhagen's port facility, and has through the years been the reception place for royalty and heads of state. It was also here that the famous Danish sculptor and artist Bertel Thorvaldsen was received when he returned to Copenhagen in 1838 after his long journey to Italy. Steeped in history and culture, it is quite humbling to be married in a location which is associated with such greatness - and a wonderful and majestic platform to start your life together.

'Winter in Tivoli' at Tivoli Gardens - Usually both summer and also between Christmas and New year

A Fairy-tale winter wedding, surrounded by colourful lights, the sound of laughter and happy squeals from the rides, the smell from the restaurants and plenty of romance. The old gardens is oozing ”hygge”, and now it can also be the setting of your winter wedding in the heart of Copenhagen. Here your ceremony will take place outside, in the small pavilion with a golden roof, located next to the lake. After the ceremony, it is entirely up to you what the day should bring and how you want to celebrate – maybe a concert in the Tivoli Concert Hall? A ride on the roller coaster? Or a quiet and romantic dinner?

Whatever you want from a wedding in Copenhagen, winter has a really special magical charm, and the feel of being in Tivoli just cannot be described in words to do it justice, very much like the feeling of being in love. It is like if you can bottle all of the magic and feeling from christmas eve when you were a child, and then release it to all senses.... And yes it is REALLY cold, but that means you have no excuse to not cuddle up, hold your love close, and enjoy hot wine and the magic of life.
